Lunch dates

Alex and I went to lunch today! We're on a roll for our dates. 

Last minute dates

Dinner & a movie? Sure! Thanks for letting us have a last minute date night Mom!

Timing

Great timing today. I put Chloe in bed right before my conference call started!

Routine

Thankfully Chloe likes to stick to her nighttime routine regardless of what time she wakes up from her nap. At least recently that is, let's hope I didn't just jinx us!

Easter chairs

Easter means church is super packed so I was grateful when I saw they had set up extra chairs in the back rows of the church. Good thinking!

3/26: light traffic

I was worried I'd hit a lot of traffic driving out to Torrance but luckily it only took me 45 minutes! 

Jesus

It's Good Friday! Officially the end of the Lenten season and the beginning of the Easter Tridiuum. Each year I'm reminded of the sacrifice Jesus & God made for us and our sins. I can't help but be thankful. 

TED

The TED website isn't blocked at work!  At least not yet.  Today I was able to listen to different TED talks and pass the time while dispensing.

Disinfectant spray

Potty training Day 1 and there were a lot of accidents and many times when I considered giving up. Thankfully there's disinfectant spray to help clean up the mess and midday naps to refresh the mind & body. 

Light traffic

I got to work in a decent amount of time today and since I left early I had 25 minutes before I had to start work! So I went walking instead of waiting to walk at lunchtime. I was able to exercise, didn't use Fastrak and got to work on time! 

A smooth labor

2 years and 3 hours ago I started feeling contractions. About this time they admitted me to the hospital and started everything to get Chloe here. My labor was super smooth with her and I know I am so incredibly lucky. I hope this next labor (in a few weeks) will be just as easy. 

Easy shopping

I love it when you go shopping for a particular outfit or event and you find something right away! Bonus when it's affordable!

Engaged fathers

As I walked around the East LA park/pond today I saw a cute father & son who were having so much fun together.  They were running around after the ducks and just up & down the hill.  The son was laughing so much and had the biggest smile and the dad was acting goofy and waving his arms regardless of who was watching.  It made my heart smile at the joy they were having together and makes me so thankful for ALL the dads out there who are play a big role in their child(ren)'s life.

Raising kids now is different from how we were raised and I'm so SO glad that one of those changes includes a more pro-active father.

Extra hands

Alex's family is visiting for Chloe's 2nd birthday and while the house feels crowded it's always so nice to have extra hands and the extra help. 

Semi prepped dinner

Dinner didn't take too long today since I had already made the pasta sauce and the sausage was pre cooked. 

TUMS

They really do help when you have heartburn!

Salad dinners

I'm so thankful when Alex makes a nice big salad for dinner. It's quite refreshing and a great change to the dinner lineup. 

Alex

If Chloe wakes up in the middle of the night Alex has been good at getting up and I'm so thankful because that means I don't have to roll over and fall out of bed. 

3/11: Disneyland magic

We went to Disneyland yesterday to celebrate Chloe's 2nd birthday! She had so much fun and even took a decent nap in the stroller! I was so happy she/we had a good day. 

3/11: Independent play

Chloe has gotten pretty good at playing on her own. Maybe it's a phase or maybe it's her but I'm so proud of her and so thankful that she doesn't constantly need our attention. 

Furiously Happy

I just started this book called Furiously Happy and it's SO AWESOME.  I've laughed out loud multiple times already and I've only read 10 pages.  Things are looking good for my reading future.

Finished projects

I love the satisfaction of finishing a project. Today I finished sewing 3 crib sheets and a mattress cover for the living room. I also almost finished 2 pillows for the new baby. I'm quite happy with how they turned out. 

Decent traffic

It was pouring rain this morning so I left for work early anticipating traffic. Luckily the traffic wasn't so bad and I got to work in a normal amount of time! Let's see how the drive home is...

3/6: 'New' toys

I brought Chloe to my sisters house today and she was very excited to play with all the toys. Everything is 'new' for her so she plays with them for a lot longer than any of the toys at our house!

3/5: Car naps and jungle gyms

Today we celebrated Asher's 1st birthday at a My Gym in North Hollywood. Originally I didn't know if Chloe would make it bc her nap is at the same time but she was a good girl and slept in the car on the way there. When we got there she played on everything and had lots of fun. 

East LA clinic

SOO much closer to me! I got to work in 30 minutes! I was very excited when I got to work. 

Easy pregnancy

Today was a super rough day in terms of pregnancy pain. While I was stretching all I could think about was how lucky and thankful I am that the rest of my pregnancy has been easy. I can't imagine having to deal with this type of pain earlier on. 

3/2: No dishes

We went out for dinner so there weren't any dishes to wash! Hooray!
